Not many tips here but the most important tips is sketch plan (I ussualy call it sketch plan yes)

This thing will make your paper have less of eraser mess and it will help you make your drawing more proportional. For example:

First, i do these line 

to my paper to make the train part easier,

Then I started to do the

base sketch starting 

from the front part of the trains

following the blue lines like this

and after you done the base then continue   

to the detail following the blue lines (part to part)

                                                                   

Lastly i continue the base sketch until the detail sketch

following the blue lines (part to part) from part 1-4
